INSPIRATIONAL THOUGHTS:
eading up to Labor Day weekend is always a busy time for me at work. There are so many projects needing my attention and all are due at the same time. I especially found myself this year burdened by all that needs to be done and for whatever reason it seemed I am not able to catch up. The more I tried to get ahead of the project list, the more I seemed to come up short.
Have you ever found yourself in the morning waking up, and the first thing that hits you in the face is all that needs to be done. Maybe you too are facing a challenge that seems to consume all your thoughts and focus.
As we celebrate the Labor Day holiday, I would like to encourage you; instead of focusing on all that needs to get done on your plate, to set your mind and heart to focus instead on what God has to offer you:
His mercies are new every morning.
He promises to carry your heavy burdens.
He will never let you down or leave you helpless.
The key to releasing these daily benefits is to seek first the kingdom of God above all else (see Matthew 6:33 AMP). As you begin to put your focus and trust in Him, the more peace and confident assurance will substantiate the fact that He will bring it to pass.
You can’t allow your circumstances to dictate whether it is a good day or bad day. You can't allow your feelings to confirm whether you are able to accomplish all He has asked for you to do.
No, you have to choose to to make your declaration to line up with what God's Word declares over the circumstances of your life. Declare "This is the day the Lord hath made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. I am blessed; I know God is directing my steps; and He is prospering the works of me hands."
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
