God’s will - not mine a devotional reflection
Embracing God's Will, Not Mine - A Devotional Journey
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves caught up in our plans and desires, forgetting that our lives are not solely our own. As believers, we are called to submit to the will of God, embracing His divine plan for our lives rather than insisting on our own. In this devotional post, we will explore the importance of surrendering to God's will and the peace that comes from trusting His plans.
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Our human nature often compels us to take control and follow our own desires, but the scripture reminds us to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly and acknowledge Him in all our ways. This isn't an easy task. It requires us to let go of our control, our desires, and our understanding to fully embrace God's will.
God's plans are all-encompassing, eternal, and perfect. Our limited perspective can't always comprehend His grand designs. However, when we surrender our will to God, we allow Him to direct our paths and align our lives with His divine plan.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Teach us to surrender our will to You. Guide our hearts and minds to trust in Your divine plan, even when it doesn't align with our desires. Help us let go of our need for control, and embrace the peace that comes from complete trust in You.
Open our eyes to see Your hand at work in our lives. Grant us the wisdom to understand that Your ways are higher than ours, and Your thoughts are not our thoughts. We pray for the courage to submit to Your will, not our own.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Embracing God's will over our own is a journey that involves trust, surrender, and faith. It's about letting go of our plans and desires and allowing God to lead us according to His perfect plan. When we choose to say, "God's will, not mine," we are choosing to trust that He knows what's best for us and will guide us to where we need to be. Let us continue this journey with open hearts and minds, always seeking to align ourselves with God's will.
