Today, my husband and I enjoyed taking a leisurely drive to the Wright Brothers National Memorial, located in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. This section of the outer banks has high sand dunes and constant coastline breezes. Orville and Wilbur Wright drove to this area from their home in Ohio in the early 1900s around this same time of year.

Their story revealed how their innovative thinking helped them to invent, build, and eventually fly the world’s first successful motor-operated airplane on December 17, 1903.  They were not engineers, or university graduates, but they had a dream to improve flight and their innovative thinking helped them discover creative ways to do so.

We have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].—1 Corinthians 2:16 AMP

When we make Jesus the Lord of our life, we have the mind of Christ and the anointing of the Holy Spirit helping us to be creative and innovative. He desires to open our eyes to see what others don’t see, and to imagine what others don’t comprehend. We are designed to be guided by God’s creative thoughts and purposes.  Each of us has unique gifts and passions (see 1 Corinthians 3:10) that enables us to be inventors, explorers, and entrepreneurs. This list of possibilities is endless when He is leading the way.

Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.—Ephesians 3:20 AMP

Creativity and innovation are in God’s nature and as His children, we possess these characteristics in our DNA. He gives us permission to dream big and He encourages us to make plans for how He might use us.  Since that is the case, let’s start to see ourselves as creative visionaries, possessing innovative power and ability. Let’s not idle our life away, instead, let’s tackle new challenges and take flight to the new horizons that lie ahead of us as we let go and let God use us.

Blessings,

Cindy

They will know that we are HIS disciples by our _______________

Fill in the blank for yourself....

🖋by the way we yell or start arguments?

🖋by the way we belittle others and gossip?

🖋by the way we push down others to make ourselves look more important?

🖋by our grandiose sermons on Facebook?

🖋How we yell at another driver in the car all while having a “Jesus Saves” bumper sticker?

❌No to any of these!

They will know that we are HIS disciples how we LOVE

❤️Love means treating others the way you want to be treated

❤️love means letting our words give life and hope no matter what

❤️seeing a need and filling it with our gifts and talents- wanting nothing in return

❤️being quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger

❤️walking in love with everyone - everyone in the world is created in God’s image

Christ’s LOVE changes the world!

Pray that God will give you a loving heart and that you can walk in the shoes of a Jesus today- always humble and compassionate- helping up the broken and speaking life!

Read John 13:34 below and write notes and actions steps for this week

Have you ever seem a super buff person? We’re talking someone that looks like The Rock- muscles popping out everywhere.

Did you know that the Rock doesn’t stuff down desserts, binge watch Netflix on the daily or have an inconsistent workout schedule. He is disciplined to invest in his body through welcoming resistance?

Muscle is not built through the occasional stress to the body- but scheduled doses of pressure.

Muscle is formed through CONSISTENT resistance, consistent stress, consistent diet of lean proteins and veggies and a consistent rest schedule.

Repaired and replaced muscle after it’s been torn through stress, pressure and resistance causes it to layer on top of each other and form new muscle fiber connections - millimeter upon millimeter, day after day.

Muscle growth occurs during rest- not actual strength training. So sleep and days off are imperative to muscle repair and increase.

The Apostle Paul must have had a “Rock” like spirit through all his suffering, jail, beatings and persecution. He was under constant stress and pressure and even welcomed it in his life.

Romans 5:3-5 talks about the process that spirit muscle is created:

“...but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Without sufferings- without hardships, there is no perseverance- no endurance, no grit, no Rocky-like heart to take a punch and get up every time .

Without perseverance, there is no character- you lose credibility with people, your integrity becomes shot and you leave no legacy.

And without character- there is no hope- dispair grips you, anxiety overtakes you-you become a shell of a person.

ree

So welcome pressure. Welcome stress DAILY- don’t hide from it or be overwhelmed.

Get in a consistent spiritual muscle building routine of building character through disciplined resistance training- welcoming sufferings, a consistent spiritual diet of his Word and a consistent rest schedule of waiting on the Lord .
