The Confidence That Never Fails

Are you finding it difficult to live life to your fullest? Are you paralyzed by what others think? Are you able to reach your full potential? Is fear of the unknown holding you back?

We have all battled with these and other challenges over time. Even David said in Psalm 143:4 (TPT) that his “inner being is in depression and his heart is heavy, dazed with despair.”

Having faith in oneself that you can overcome these challenges is good, but it is often not enough. Your self-confidence has its limitations, because no one can do everything all the time in their own strength. Sooner or later you will run out of steam and find yourself unable to enjoy your journey in life.

What we really need is “God-confidence” as Joyce Meyer calls it. Being able to rely on His strength and ability to live life to its fullest. That is the confidence that never fails. Paul in Philippians 4:13-14 (TPT) writes “For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things…I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty.”

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to take His place here on the earth. He said in John 14:16 (AMPC) that the Holy Spirit is the “Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.” The Holy Spirit lives in us as born-again believers and He is always there with us.

Rather than trying to make it on your own, begin to rely on the Holy Spirit to give you the ability you need. Choose to operate inthat “God-confidence” that never fails. Rely on Him to carry your load and help you out every moment of your day. He will see to it that you don’t fail and will enable you to live life to the fullest.

God wants you to be bold and strong. He wants you to banish fear and doubt. He wants you to walk in freedom. He wants you to be healthy and whole—Spirit, Soul, and Body. He wants you to pursue the destiny He has in store for you. All you have to do is trust in Him to help you do just that.

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.—Ephesians 3:20 TPT

Blessings,

Cindy

Receive a Beautiful Crown in Exchange for Ashes

This week at the Confident Woman Workshop following our Facebook Live, we discussed the wounds we all experience in life. We were encouraged when someone in the group shared John 16:33 AMPC

that says “In the world we will have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be

confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; Jesus has overcome the world.”

What a joy it brought to our hearts knowing God is able to take the ashes from our pain and turn them into opportunities of wholeness, maturity and transformation. How encouraging it was to know that there is nothing that can scar us for life. There is nothing that we cannot recover from, and nothing that God cannot heal. We can be filled with hope knowing that with His help, we can overcome.

We can keep moving forward on God’s paths, knowing that all our stumbling ways will be divinely healed (see Hebrews 12:13 TPT)!

I want to live in that divine health, don’t you? Often though, we find that the wounds of life are not the real problem, it is about whether or not we are willing to let go of the resentment, hurt and

unforgiveness. It is about not wasting the pain by letting God work it out for our good (see Romans

8:28).

We may all begin with ashes, but when we release them to Jesus, He makes something beautiful.

The letting go of the bitterness and resentment is not easy to do, but with the help of the Holy Spirit

we can experience comfort and encouragement in every trouble.

Isaiah 61:3 TPT says He will “give them a beautiful crown in exchange for ashes, to anoint them with gladness instead of sorrow, to wrap them in victory, joy, and praise instead of depression and

sadness.”

Instead of thinking about how much you have gone through in life that has been painful, why not think about all the experience that you now have, and all the opportunities that are before you as God’s daughter especially as it relates to being an encourager of others.

God promises to consoles us as we endure the pain and hardship of life so that we may draw from

His comfort and share it with others in their own struggles (see 2 Corinthians 1:4 VOICE).

Ephesians 4:29 TPT says it best, “Never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them.”

Receive a beautiful crown in exchange for ashes and be willing to be used by Him to encourage

someone who is hurting.

Blessings,

Cindy
